英国の iTunesユーザーがダウンロード楽曲の価格が他のヨーロッパ諸国とくらべて高すぎると値下げ運動を展開している。 英国では１曲79ポンドだが、ドイツとフランスでは68ポンド（US＄0.99)。 Appleはこの価格設定について、「各国の経済状態」や「各国のCD価格」等を考慮したものと説明しているが、同様に欧州で展開しているマイクロソフトの MSN music では均一の価格（69ポンド）で販売していることから、対抗上、英国での値下げをしなければならなくなる可能性が大きい。
