オリコン、ヒットチャート連動の音楽配信サービスを3月23日より開始

オリコンは、同社公式サイト「ORICON STYLE」を3月23日13時よりリニューアルを実施、あわせて音楽配信サービスを開始する。配信楽曲の料金は、1曲157円～315円。
今回開始する音楽配信サービスは、当初2月8日に開始予定であったが課金決済システムの不具合で延期されていたもの。オリコンによる音楽CDやDVDなどのセールスランキング情報「オリコンランキング」と連動した楽曲配信を行なうほか、朝日新聞社の「asahi.com」や読売新聞社の「ヨミウリ・オンライン」など新聞社系サイトとの連動も行なう。

サービス開始の23日時点で、すでにエイベックスやビクターエンタテインメント、東芝EMI、ポニーキャニオンをはじめとする50社のレコード会社や音源供給会社と提携し、約10万5000曲の楽曲を配信している（一部の楽曲は試聴のみ）。提携企業の中には韓国のMutaraも含まれており、韓国のアーティスト22名の楽曲も配信する。韓国アーティストの楽曲配信は、「国内初の試みだ」（オリコン）という。楽曲の価格は157円～315円（税込み）で、音楽ファイル形式はWMAを採用している。
