この議論では、Apple ComputerのiTunes Music Storeでダウンロード販売された映画や音楽などのデジタルコンテンツに課税するか否かが争点になっている。すでに2、3の州では、1曲99セントの価格にプラスして数セントの税金を自発的に支払わない場合は違法とされている。
