『スポーツケース』は、透明なプラスチックのiPod shuffle専用ケースだ(写真)。ちりやホコリからiPod shuffleを守るだけでなく、衝撃や雨からも守ることができる。スポーツケースを装着すると一回り大きくなってしまう(写真)が、もともと軽くて小さいiPod shuffleなので、それほど抵抗がある大きさや重さではない。ケースの嵌め合い部ぐるりにゴムのパッキンが成型されている(写真)ので、一応防水機能がある。ただしマニュアルには「この製品は水中では使用できません。耐水性ではありません」と書かれているので、自己責任で使って欲しい。少し雨やしぶきがかかったり、雪の中で使っても大丈夫そうだな、という程度だ。
