ソニー・エリクソン初の「着うたフル」対応端末「W31S」は、強く音楽にフォーカスした端末だ（3月25日の記事参照）。その中で、端末の形状も大きく変わった。
同社製端末で初めてスライド型を採用。メインの操作キーからは伝統のジョグダイヤルが姿を消し、一般的な十字キーに変わっている。これらの変更にはどんな意図があったのだろうか。W31Sの開発陣に聞いた。
