Apple Computerは5月10日、デンマーク、ノルウェー、スウェーデン、スイスの4カ国で音楽ダウンロード販売のiTunes Music Storeを新設したと発表した。 Appleの発表によれば、iTunes Music Storeは2年前の立ち上げ以来これまでに19カ国で展開、4億曲あまりを販売しており、世界の音楽市場の70％以上にリーチを拡大しているという。 楽曲の販売に加えて同日からは、Dave Matthews Band、Gorillaz、Morcheeba、The Shinsのアルバムまたはトラックを購入すると、MacまたはWindows PCでミュージックビデオをダウンロードして再生できるようになった。
