日本時間で7月2日22時にスタートした、アフリカ飢餓救済ライブイベント「Live 8」の最初の曲は、ポール・マッカートニーとU2のコラボレーションによる“Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band”だった。このナンバーは、iTunes Music Store（iTMS）でダウンロード開始された。収益はアフリカの未来のために寄付されるという。
