タワーレコード株式会社と米Napsterは4日、日本での音楽配信事業を行なうための合弁企業を設立することで合意したと発表した。新会社の名称は「ナップスタージャパン株式会社」(予定)。資本金は4億9,000万円。2006年4月に日本市場でのサービス開始を予定している。
