アメリカのポッドキャスト・ビジネスの状況は．．．
- アメリカでは毎週1,000ドルものスポンサー収入を得ているポッドキャスターもいるそうです。
とはいえ、ポッドキャストとは何かを知らない人がほとんど、という状況は日本とあまり変わらないようで、スポンサーになる企業も、報道機関やエンターテインメント企業の運営するポッドキャストを選んでいるようです。
また、アップルはランキングシステムに関する質問への回答を拒否しており、iTunesのポッドキャストのチャートの順位決定方法も明らかになっていません。個人運営のポッドキャスターは、リスナーの規模や内訳を正確に知ることさえ難しいという状況のようです。
「ポッドキャストでビジネス」はまだまだこれからのようですね。
